Sunny Day outside!...

by The Squirrell 26. February 2014 20:14

Dear followers!

Sorry for my lack of posts, but life has been

troublesome lately and I have not been well

in myself...

After a bumpy few months for me/us today the rain stopped

and the Sun dared to peak out for a while!

Samuel (Who is coming along a treat!) and I

booted up, donned some coats and went for our

daily forage! (We go out every day looking for stones,

sticks, insects, animals, birds, plants, and anything else of a

boyish/good fun nature to observe and explore!

The rain lately has been so awful for some many that

I am blessed we live on a hill so have experienced

minimal effect.

My thoughts are always with those who have had

homes flooded, lost precious possesions and ground

to the weather...

Here's a few pictures of Sam enjoying the sun today

(And continued thanks to all who enquire after him and us all...)

About Matt.

My name's Matt. I was born with a congenital heart defect which hampered me in my youth, and sadly became a terminal conditon recently, and beyond the (amazing) care of the BRI-Bristol Heart team.

In 2008, my condition deteriorated, to a point I was happy to see Xmas 2008. I had prepared to die.

Then in January 2009, a late night phone call from QEH-Hospital Birmingham changed my world, when they offered me a heart transplant, if I could get there pronto!!

6 months on, after a rocky start, I am still alive, thanks to them!

Read on to see how my new life is taking shape, and my adventures to date!....
